Position Overview

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a prominent Century City law firm that is seeking an IT Paralegal to bridge the gap between substantive legal work and technical support. This versatile professional will provide high-level litigation support for local attorneys while serving as a remote technical resource for the firm's New York office. The ideal candidate blends deep plaintiff litigation experience with a strong technical background in legal IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

Litigation & Case Management

  • Manage plaintiff litigation cases through all phases: discovery, motion practice, trial prep, and post-trial.
  • Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, subpoenas, notices, and affidavits.
  • Maintain complex case calendars and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Handle state and federal electronic filings (e-filing) following local rules.
  • Coordinate service of process and filing of legal documents.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
  • Manage e-discovery workflows, including document collection, review, production, and database maintenance.

IT & Technical Support

  • Provide remote help desk support to the New York office, troubleshooting hardware, software, and access issues.
  • Manage litigation technology, including Document Management Systems (DMS) and specialized legal applications.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between legal teams, internal IT, and external technology vendors.
  • Ensure firm-wide compliance with data security, confidentiality, and technology protocols.
  • Offer real-time trial technology support and troubleshoot courtroom presentation systems.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (REQUIRED).
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience (REQUIRED).
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office/O365, PDF optimization (Bates labeling, splitting), and legal databases.
  • Software Mastery: Experience with e-discovery platforms like Relativity or Everlaw.
  • Skills: Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
